Ingredients:
1 3/4 c water
1 1/2 c unsweetened applesauce
5 t butter extract
3-4 t stevia extract
5 t cinnamon
1 t xanthan gum (or 1 t flax meal mixed with 2 t hot water)
Directions:
- In a large bowl, whisk together the water, applesauce and extracts
- In a small bowl, whisk together the cinnamon and xanthan gum (or flax/water mixture)
- Slowly add this into the wet ingredients while whisking
- Once incorporated, whisk the entire mixture vigorously
- Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight
- Pour mixture into blender or food processor and puree for 1-2 minutes
- Pour syrup into bottle/jar, tightly seal and refrigerate to store
